What does an ordinary workday look like for you?
7:00-9:14 – Read industry news, answer client emails, address important and urgent tasks…sometimes more urgent than important, unfortunately. Anyone else struggling with their Eisenhower matrix?
9:15-2:00 – Client project work and meetings with clients, vendors, and partners, as well as sales meetings. I get my energy from talking with people so interacting with other humans, especially during this COVID thing helps me get through the midday slump.
2:01-6:00 – Client and agency project work. I love my clients and enjoy helping them grow their business, but I think it’s important for us to to own our own assets as well. I try to spend a few hours building this part of the agency.
What are some of your favorite marketing tools or resources?
My favorite marketing tools are Ahrefs, Clearscope, Pitchbox, and Google Analytics.
My favorite resources are Traffic Think Tank, Marketing Brew, Search Engine Journal, and Sterling Sky.
What is the best piece of marketing advice you’ve ever received?
In God we trust. All others must bring data.
