What does an ordinary workday look like for you?

I usually start my workday at 8am by going through emails and checking different marketing reports for the previous day. We decided to have most of our meetings in the morning, so we’ll have a daily call at 10 am followed by different functional meetings on different days.

The rest of the day varies a lot. I might be setting up new ad campaigns, sharing social media content, reviewing design assets, writing content, analysing marketing and product metrics, planning and executing promotional campaigns, and anything else that might come my way.

What are some of your favorite marketing tools or resources?

I love direct response marketing and I find the native advertising tools the most valuable. We also built an in-house analytics tool for our product and I spend a lot of time looking for insights there.

Some of my favorite marketing books are:

What is the best piece of marketing advice you’ve ever received?

It’s all about the offer.

You can have a terrible offer that even the best marketing wouldn’t sell. Or you might have a truly irresistible offer that will make the promotion extremely easy.

Too many people focus on looking for some quick and easy marketing tactics while they should be working on improving the offer.
