What does an ordinary workday look like for you?
I look at Google Analytics, other dashboards, and generally look at Slack to see if there are any company updates and also check my email. I then decide what are the one, two, or three tasks that I have to do in terms of growth marketing.
It could be just checking in with my team, or it could be just looking at what blog post we’ve recently written, or looking at the analytics and seeing if we have more conversions and more top-of-funnel leads.
What are some of your favorite marketing tools or resources?
I’d highly recommend checking out Poptin, as that’s my favorite lead magnet tool. They have all the kinds of form features that you need. I use them heavily.
My second favorite is actually Zapier. I can do a lot of things with Zapier and I love it.
I would recommend joining Dave Gerhardt’s group on Patreon and learn from that. It has actually single-handedly improved me as a marketer. I would highly recommend you join, and then see what he has already talked about and just go through his content.
I also recommend reading these books:
What is the best piece of marketing advice you’ve ever received?
Be consistent.
Whatever marketing initiatives you’re doing, I’d recommend being consistent with it, at least for the next six months to see the results. Nothing comes quickly. There’s no growth hack.
For example, if you’re trying to be an influencer, then keep doing it consistently for at least six months to see the results of it. I do see the results. Now every few days, I see a lot of people connecting with me just because I’m doing good content marketing.
